Biography

Transforming healthcare is what ignites my passion. Through technology, facilities design, evidence-based medicine, and workflows and processes, I believe we can address the enormous pressure from consumers and purchasers to build a healthcare system that improves care experience, quality, and affordability.

In my position as Area Medical Director for a large integrated healthcare system, I proudly organized a local innovation infrastructure that has brought forward many initiatives that are in use throughout our organization. As Assistant Executive Medical Director, I continued to use these skills in innovation, systems thinking and transformation by applying them to areas as diverse as our Laboratory Care System and the design of our new Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine. During my career I have helped plan and design nearly $1.7B in capital projects, and have served as a juror on healthcare facilities design competitions alongside some of the leading healthcare architects and designers in the nation.

As a consultant, I've worked on new market growth opportunities, streamlining operations and helping struggling entities get back on a path to success, and strategies to enter the FQHC space.

I enjoy working in teams on imagining possibilities; I am skilled at inspiring others around the future, and I have a proven record in making these possibilities real through leadership the use of systems approaches to drive success.
